RASS-R

The RASS Real time system (RASS-R) is a collection of tools for real time recording, monitoring and analyzing digital radar data. The “R” of the RASS-R toolbox stands for: RTQC Real Time Quality Control, Remote monitoring and Recording endless loop.

Using background processing, the system is able to run continuously. RASS-R is intended to be a fixed set-up that needs to be installed only once.

The RASS-R toolbox consists of three subsections, containing different tools:

1. Data Handling Module (DHM): to record, replay and convert data
2. Display and Monitoring

• Multi Radar Display 3 (MRD3 ): to display multiple radar sources simultaneously
• Technical Maintenance Display 3 (TMD3 ): to display one radar source only

3. Analysis: real time quality control tools

• Radar Comparator Mono/Dual (RCM/D): offline analysis of radar data
• Track Analysis (TRACKAN): realtime analysis of radar data
• Data Replay (DATA REPLAY): data replay with corrected timestamps
• Coverage Map Calculator (CMC): generation of screening and relief files
