The COBRA radar is a multi-function battlefield radar for artillery missions manufactured by a consortium formed by EADS, Lockheed Martin and Thales. In cooperation with NAMSA, Intersoft Electronics developed a “Repeater”, a Towertrack in combination with the RTG698 to simulate targets. These reference targets are used to evaluate the COBRA during the Factory Acceptance Testing. The development was a very critical issue because the existing Repeater was no longer serviceable and production of the COBRA could stop.

Intersoft Electronics delivered the new design in less than 6 months after order. This is a good example of replacement of critical obsolete radar components in record breaking timeframe.
